Hello People!
I have some really exciting news to share with you!
I, Karl Pupé and Roma Dhameja are teaming up to launch a brand new monthly podcast called #SchoolMeetsWorld which will premiere on Wednesday 1st September 2021.
The world is in a mighty mess, isn't it? To solve many of these problems, our kids need a new way of being educated.
In this 4 part series, Roma & I are talking about the big issues and problems that are facing the Education System in the 21st Century. We've got lots of exciting guests and aim to give you skinny on the big issues of the day in an entertaining way!
Here are the 4 topics that will make up Season 1:
1) Representation - Are we diverse and inclusive enough of minorities in our current education system? Has the world changed post-George Floyd?
2) Money - Does the current education system train our kids for financial failure? Why don't we teach Personal Finance as a GCSE subject?
3) Cultural Capital - Is Social Mobility dead in the UK? Are we failing to teach kids the 'soft-skills' needed to progress in the Real World?
4) Artificial Intelligence - As our world gets increasingly taken over by machines and computer algorithms, are we doing enough to make sure that our students are not obsolete?
